ASDA ‘SCAN TO WIN’ COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS: WIN A FREE SPORTS SESSION - 50,000 TO BE WON (“PROMOTION”)

 

1. This Promotion is open to residents of the UK aged 18 years or over who are the parent/legal guardian of a child aged between 5 and 16 years of age.
2. The following are not eligible to enter this Promotion: employees of the Promoter, their families, agents or anyone professionally connected with the Promotion.

3. Applicable to participating Asda stores only (in-store and online only). All of the Qualifying Products included in the Promotion are subject to availability at the participating Asda stores.

How to Enter

4. To enter:

1. Entrants will need to purchase at least one of the Qualifying Products during the Promotional Period from the participating retailer. See below for a full list of Qualifying Products:

2. Entry is via completing a sign-up form on the Win Sports Sessions website. Entrants can access the form by either:
   1. Scanning the QR code on the display packaging instore (“PromotionalMaterial”) using a mobile device; or
   2. Visiting the Win Sports Sessions website at www.winsportssessions.co.uk
3. Entrants must complete the form by providing the following:
   1. First name,
   2. Last name;
   3. Email address;
   4. The barcode number of the Qualifying Product(s) purchased (found on the product packaging);
   5. Answering additional questions is optional;
   6. Agree to these T&Cs whereby you consent to your data being shared with the Promoter and a third-party agency for prize fulfillment purposes only. 

5. Purchase is necessary; internet access and a valid email address are required.
6. Promotional Period: the opening date for entries is 00:01 BST on 12/06/2025 and the closing date for receipt of entries is 23:59 BST on 16/07/2025, or once all 50,000 prizes have been allocated, whichever comes first.

Entry Requirements

7. The Promotion is limited up to a maximum of 4 entries per person/email address over the course of the Promotional Period. No entrant may win more than 4 prizes during the Promotional Period. Each entry requires a different Qualifying Product to be purchased and the identifying bar code to be entered on the entry form.

8. Any use by entrants of multiple identities or identities other than their own to enter this Promotion will be disqualified and any prize entitlement will be void. The Promoter reserves the right to determine, in its sole and absolute discretion, whether an entrant has already submitted more than 4 entries and to disqualify any subsequent entries or prize entitlement.

9. Responsibility is not accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed as a result of any network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.

10. By participating in this Promotion, you agree to release, discharge and hold us harmless from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind resulting from your participation in this Promotion (save that nothing shall limit our liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence).

Prizes

11. Prize: There are 50,000 prizes to be won and there will be 50,000 winners. Each winner will win:

1 x Digital voucher code for one free sports session at a participating outlet. 

Prize Tickets specifics:

12. Each valid winner will receive a digital voucher code for one free sports session at a participating outlet.
13. The sports session will be for the attendance of 1 child aged between five to sixteen only.
14. Range of sessions available at 1000 locations across the UK (subject to availability).
15. The free sports session will include one of the following sports:
    
    
    1. Hockey
    2. Tennis
    3. Rugby
    4. Football
    5. Netball
    6. Swimming
    7. Taekwondo
    8. Badminton
    9. Canoeing
    10. Kayaking
    11. Paddleboard

16. Winners will be able to view the list of venues and activities and choose their preferred option. Some venues will offer taster sessions and others will provide coaching sessions, in exchange for the voucher. Please contact the club directly for details on the session.
17. Depending on the sport and venue chosen, sessions may vary in length. Please see the individual session page for details.
18. Once preferred activity has been chosen, winners must confirm their details and will automatically receive an email with the digital voucher and instructions on how to redeem with the individual sports club.
19. Validity of voucher is one month from date of registration.
20. Each voucher is valid for one sports session only.
21. Age and physical ability restrictions may apply to certain sports sessions. Please check the individual session’s restrictions before choosing the session.
22. Individual Promotional terms and conditions apply for each activity and form part of these Promotional Terms and Conditions. The list of venues remains subject to change.
23. Vouchers are specifically for children between the ages of 5 and 16 only and must be accompanied by an adult to the session. Please see your chosen venues full T&Cs for full details and age restrictions in relation to specific activities.
24. Participating venues reserve the right to change business hours. The activity might not be available at some venues due to seasonality. Each activity is subject to promotional availability.
25. Participants are required to contact the venue to book their entry in advance and confirm at the point of booking that they have a free Asda sport session voucher.
26. The cost of travel to and from the winner’s chosen venue and all other costs and expenses incurred, including, but not limited to, additional tickets, food and drink are excluded from the offer.
27. If certain venues are not suitable or of interest for the winner, these cannot be exchanged with an alternative offer.
28. Vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, promotion or discount.
29. Certain sports may require particular levels of health or fitness. Winners should ensure that their child is capable of meeting the required standards.
30. Allocation of all prize vouchers will be at the sole discretion of the Promoter.
31. Winners shall remain at all times responsible for the child/children of whom they are the legal parent/guardian.
32. Use of the tickets is subject to the Promotional terms and conditions on the tickets and the regulations in force at the applicable venue.
33. The tickets may not be resold under any circumstances, prize tickets are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and non-refundable and there is no cash alternative in whole or in part unless otherwise stated above.
34. Winners and their guests will be solely responsible for all taxes, and for any other fees or costs associated with the prizes they receive.
35. The Promoter is responsible for sourcing the Prize and engages third-party fulfiller Umbrella to fulfil the sports session vouchers.

Selection of Winners

36. 50,000 valid entries received on or before the closing date will each win a prize instantly as outlined in clause 11.

The winner(s) will instantly be notified when they have won a Prize. Winners will need to submit their full name, email address and barcode number of the Qualifying Product. Once submitted, and the barcode number has been verified, a unique digital voucher code and details on how to book their session will then be sent to the winner via email from [email protected].

37. All necessary information for fulfilment purposes must be provided by the winner at the time of the instant win notification. If a digital voucher is unclaimed by the winner, it will lapse, and will not be offered to a substitute winner. Winners have a 30-day voucher redemption period, ending on 17th August 2025. After this date, all unredeemed vouchers will expire and cannot be used. However, if a winner redeems their voucher and books a sport session before 17th August 2025, they will still be able to attend their booked session up until 23:59 on 31st December 2025.

38. If you are selected as a winner and Unilever receives a request from a consumer that a valid prize award took place, Unilever will share the first letter of both your first name and surname with them, e.g. “AA”. If the UK Advertising Standards Authority request confirmation that a valid award took place, we will share information such as your first and last name directly with them.

39. The winner’s(s’) details (initials of first and last name) may be made available on request by emailing [email protected] within 4 weeks of the closing date.

General Terms

40. By entering the Promotion, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the rules. All entry instructions form part of the rules.

41. The Promoter, Unilever, reserve the right to terminate this Promotion early in the event of exceptional circumstances outside of their control.

42. Entrants’ personal data will be processed for the purpose of administering this Promotion by the Promoter and/or by its agents. In addition, by entering the competition, the entrants consent to the Promotor sharing the winners’ details with third party agency, Careline, for the purpose of facilitating this Promotion. The Entrant’s details will not be passed onto other third party for any other purpose without prior consent. 43. These Promotional Terms and Conditions and any issues or disputes which may arise out of or in connection with these Promotional Terms and Conditions (whether such disputes or issues are contractual or non-contractual in nature, such as claims in tort, for breach of statute or regulation or otherwise) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Entrants hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts to settle any such dispute or issues.
